Dr Tim Friedman works as a Senior Research Fellow and leads the Questionnaires team within the Assessment Development Program at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Tim has extensive roles in large-scale surveys, serving as the project director at ACER for Australia’s National Assessment Program - ICT Literacy 2022, and international project coordinator for the IEA International Civic and Citizenship Education Study 2022 cycle. He has led ACER’s contribution to the development of contextual questionnaires and their subsequent analysis for the COVID-19 Monitoring Impacts on Learning Outcomes (MILO) project as well as other large-scale surveys including the OECD International Early Learning Study (IELS), the Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metrics study (SEA-PLM), the Pacific Islands Literacy and Numeracy Study (PILNA). In 2011, Tim was awarded a PhD in Psychology at Monash University for his investigation into the detection subtle deficits in cognitive decline, using a novel computer based test of cognitive function.

Dr. Antoine Bilodeau’s research focuses on the political integration of immigrants in Canada and other Western democracies and on understanding the roots of views toward immigration and ethnic diversity. He also studies questions relating to youth political engagement and political socialization. Dr. Bilodeau is the leader of the Provincial Diversity Project with Luc Turgeon (Ottawa), Ailsa Henderson (Edinburgh) and Stephen White (Concordia). Dr. Bilodeau is a member of the steering committee for the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship, a senior research affiliate with the Canadian Network for research on Terrorism, Security and Society (TSAS), and a member of the Center for Immigration Policy Evaluation.
Yakobo Leonard Lema is a distinguished researcher affiliated with the National Institute for Medical Research in Tanga, Tanzania, where he has contributed significantly to public health research from 2015 to 2023. His academic journey also includes a tenure at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in 2013, where he laid the groundwork for his extensive research endeavors.

I am a Senior Research Advisor at the Embassy of Sweden in Ethiopia, where I support the Swedish Research Cooperation in the region, focusing on health, gender, and social accountability. I have over 18 years of experience in research and development, and I am passionate about improving population health and facilitating social inclusion through evidence-based policies and practices. I have a strong academic background in gender, health and displacement, health informatics, health policy and health promotion, with a Master of Public Health Sciences and a PhD in Applied Health Technology from Lund University and Blekinge Institute of Technology, respectively. I have published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as ICT-supported health communication, health literacy, migration, and lifestyle-related diseases. I am also a founder and senior gender advisor of Women in Global Health Somalia chapter, a global movement that advocates for women's leadership and gender equality in health. I am a visionary leader, a structured and efficient project manager, a skilled communicator, and a problem solver. I excel at working with diverse and cross-functional teams, building relationships and consensus, and delivering quality outcomes. Professor Henderson is able to offer PhD supervision on comparative as well as UK and Canadian topics covering 4 themes: electoral and referendum behaviour (voters and parties), electoral systems and electoral reform territorial politics and federalism, nationalism and devolution political culture, political attitudes and public opinion civic engagement, especially among young people, and mandated participation (eg compulsory voting and compulsory community service)
