Cookies
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enable the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process your choices. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on your previous or current site activity, enabling us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data on site traffic and user interactions to understand usage patterns and improve our services.
Both session and persistent cookies may be used in connection with the Site. These cookies are used for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, to better serve you with more tailored information, and for online tracking.
We use Google Analytics and similar tools to help us analyze how visitors use the Site. Among other things, these tools use cookies to collect information about the number of visitors to the Site, the webpage that referred visitors to the Site, and the pages that visitors view within the Site. Google Analytics and similar tools use persistent cookies, which remain on your computer after you close your browser.
Third-party cookies and similar technologies may also be used by our analytics or service providers when they perform services on our behalf. These third parties may collect information about your use of the Site over time and across different websites. Their cookies and tracking technologies are governed by their own privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is sent, or turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser's settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser's Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that signals to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. Our Site does not respond to DNT signals or similar mechanisms, and we do not currently participate in any Do Not Track frameworks that would require us to change our practices in response to such signals.

This information does not identify you personally and is treated as non-personal information.
Third-party websites
This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any site to which this Site contains a link. The inclusion of a link on the Site does not imply endorsement of the linked site by us or by our affiliates. If you choose to visit, register with, or submit personal information to any third-party websites or services, your information is governed by their privacy policies and terms, not by this Privacy Policy.
Where a third-party service provider collects personal information directly from you (for example, through an embedded form, widget, payment page, or analytics tag), that collection and use are governed by the provider’s own privacy policy, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.
Security
We use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect personal information under our control. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you may have with us has been compromised), please notify us immediately by contacting us in accordance with the Contacting Us section below.
Your choices
If you no longer want to receive electronic newsletters, marketing communications, and other communications related to other products or services offered by us, you can click on the "unsubscribe" link available in each email or contact us and request to be removed from our email marketing database.
We may not be able to remove your personal information from the systems of our affiliates or trusted service providers that have already received it for operational or administrative purposes. In such cases, those entities remain subject to confidentiality and data-protection obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy. You may request correction of your information at any time. If you would like to review, correct, update, suppress, or otherwise limit our use of your personal information that has been previously provided to us, you may contact us.
We aim to respond to your request(s) and respond as soon as reasonably practical. Please note that if you opt out as described above, we will not be able to remove your personal information from the databases of our affiliates or third-party processors with which we have already shared it. Please also note that if you do opt out of receiving marketing-related messages from us, we may still send you important administrative messages as part of your ongoing use of our products or services.
Your consent may be express or implied, depending on the sensitivity of the information and how it is collected. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent will not affect processing already performed based on valid consent prior to withdrawal.
Individuals located in the European Union or the United Kingdom also have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of their personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
Public vs. Private Data Projects
VoxDash allows users to publish data publicly or keep their data private. When data is marked as public, it may be indexed by search engines and accessed by third parties. When data is marked as private, access is restricted based on user permissions. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to make uploaded data public or share it within private projects.
Access and Activity Information
When you view, download, or interact with datasets, files, profiles, or Marketplace Data on VoxDash, we collect information about that activity (“Access Information”). This helps us operate the platform, maintain security, and provide data providers with insight into how their content is used.
Access Information may include:
· Your account information or a temporary session ID
· The date and time you viewed or downloaded content
· Identifiers or names of the items you interacted with
· Device and technical details such as IP address, general location, and browser type
· How you arrived at VoxDash and how you navigate through the Services
· Interaction information, such as whether you viewed, downloaded, or exported content
Some content requires permission from the data provider. If you submit an access request or choose to answer provider-defined questions, we collect the information you provide and share it with the provider so they can decide whether to grant access.
Data providers see Access Information only for their own content and may download and retain that information for their own records, compliance needs, or institutional reporting. VoxDash does not sell this information or share it with unrelated third parties for their independent use.
Data retention
VoxDash retains personal information, including Access Data, for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Services, maintain security, enforce provider-defined access conditions, support audits and compliance requirements, and meet legal, contractual, or regulatory obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is processed, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Once Access Data is exported by a data provider or Vendor, it is controlled by that provider and no longer governed by VoxDash’s retention practices.
Children
The Site is not intended for children under the age of eighteen (18), and we request that children not provide personal information through the Site. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will delete that information from our records. This Site is intended for use by individuals over the age of 18 in professional or academic settings.
Cross-border transfer of information
Your personal information may be stored and processed in any country, and by using our Site, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence. When personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, VoxDash relies on legally recognized mechanisms for such transfers. These include Canada’s adequacy determination under the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable safeguards implemented by our service providers.
Sensitive information
We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose to us, any sensitive personal information (e.g., information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, criminal background, trade union membership, etc.) on or through the Site or otherwise.
Updates to our privacy policy
We may change this Privacy Policy. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site. Your use of the Site following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
